Airing on Mondays at 8 pm on HUM TV, “Aik Pal” delves into the lives of individuals belonging to the elite and the lower class and what happens when the two worlds clash together. Albeit airing promising promos featuring a fresh concept and a good-looking young cast, the episode was a completely different picture.
Firstly, the introduction of each character lacked oomph and it had gaping holes in their backgrounds. I, for one, failed to catch the name of Danish Taimoor’s character and we have no idea about Affan Waheed’s character Musuf’s parentage. Moreover, the backdrop of the drama seems to be shabby, especially the scenes featuring Bareera’s (Arij Fatyma) room and Danish Taimoor’s hangouts. The village setup was comparatively more convincing then the city backdrop.
